Brian L. Becker
Mr. Becker received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984, where he was a member of the Kansas Law Review and received the Order of the Coif. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science/Economics from Washburn University in 1981, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Mr. Becker practiced with Latham & Watkins from 1984 to 1991, where he was a member of the Litigation Department. Mr. Becker became of counsel to Bright and Brown in October 1991, and became a partner in 1993.
Mr. Becker has a broad range of experience in numerous areas of complex civil litigation, including business torts, contract disputes, environmental law, and other general business litigation. His experience also includes negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements involving environmentally impacted property, and the preparation of environmental investigation and remediation plans with environmental consulting firms. Mr. Becker has practiced in both state and federal courts, and has experience with alternative dispute resolution methods.
