Brian L. Becker

Mr. Becker received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984, where he was a member of the Kansas Law Review and received the Order of the Coif. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science/Economics from Washburn University in 1981, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He was admitted to the California Bar in December 1984, and has been a partner with the firm since 1993.

Mr. Becker has a broad range of experience in the representation of oil and gas clients, both operators and mineral interest owners, including the negotiation of leases, participation agreements, prospect generation agreements, surface use agreements, assignments, purchase and sale agreements and other agreements and instruments related to the exploration and production of oil and gas in California. In addition, Mr. Becker has extensive complex litigation experience, which has included trials over oil and gas lease disputes, environmental contamination of property and numerous other types of business disputes. His experience with regard to environmental matters includes working with consultants to evaluate and develop remediation/restoration plans for oil fields and former industrial sites.
