John QuirkOf Counsel (retired)

Mr. Quirk received his law degree in 1979 from Loyola University, Los Angeles, and was a partner in Bright and Brown from 1986 through 2021. Mr. Quirk has represented both mineral lessees and lessors in their negotiation and performance of oil and gas leases and other agreements unique to the exploration and development phases of the oil and gas industry. He was considered one of the State’s leading practitioners in the area of oil and gas title. He has represented title companies in connection with mineral title issues and disputes, and has represented landowner developers in connection with their acquisition and development of currently or previously productive oil and gas properties for other uses.

Mr. Quirk was a frequent speaker to oil and gas industry gatherings. He has testified as an expert witness in matters involving mineral title questions.
